Stephen Tanzer of Vinous Media recommends the delectable 2014 reds from Domaine Méo-Camuzet:

2014 Corton Les Perrières Grand Cru-93pts:

“(this fruit was picked later than the Vigne au Saint and was vinified with 10% whole clusters): Bright red with ruby tones. Distinctly wilder on the nose than the Vigne au Saint, offering scents of cherry, raspberry and animal fur. At once juicier and deeper, displaying terrific flavor intensity and inner-mouth perfume but kept tight by sound underlying minerality. Méo finds this wine less strict than usual but it will still need at least four or five years of aging upon release.”

2014 Echézeaux Grand Cru-94pts:

“Bright red-ruby. Pure, expressive aromas and flavors of black cherry and menthol lifted by a topnote of spearmint. Densely packed, seamless and refined on the palate, with firm underlying acidity giving the wine a very primary quality. One senses that this very promising Echézeaux will require several years in the bottle to display its inherent generosity. Méo’s vines in Les Rouges du Bas were planted in 1950. He did a lot of replanting when he took over the domain in 1989, which he believes has added “an extra layer of ripeness” to the wine.”
