Tenuta dell’Ugolino (Organic)

The Estate

The Ugolino Estate is located in Castelplanio, in the Marche region, one of the most suitable municipalities for the production of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. The Controlled Designation of Origin of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi (map of Verdicchio) is in fact reserved only for wine produced in the oldest original area that extends from the municipalities located along the banks of the Esino river to the hilly centers overlooking the Misa valleys and of Nevola.

The Tenuta dell’Ugolino company, owned by the Petrini family, was founded in 1980 as a traditional Marche farm, but over time, the wine component becomes its main activity thanks to the passion of the young Andrea for his land and the wines that are produced.
The productive aspect, of the total 8 hectares planted with vineyards, aims at a production of quality wines through the maniacal care of the vineyards and their constant monitoring and with particular attention to the vinification of the grapes in its cellar with the traditional method.

The results of this commitment give two wines of undisputed personality and character: the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico DOC and the Verdicchio Classico Superiore DOC Vigneto del Balluccio. The Ugolino Estate is open all year round for visits, tastings and welcoming groups by appointment.
