Château Carbonnieux

Château Carbonnieux, in Léognan, is a Grand Cru Classé de Graves in Pessac-Léognan, run by the Perrin family (Philibert Perrin; Andréa Perrin is the cellar master and oenologist).
The 45-hectare white vineyard grows on clay-gravel and clay-limestone soils with vines averaging 30 years old. The estate has been HVE certified since 2017, and most of the vineyard is farmed to organic specifications or with biocontrol products.
The white is 65% Sauvignon Blanc and 35% Sémillon, fermented and aged in oak barrels and vats on its lees. The second wines are La Croix de Carbonnieux and Château Tour Léognan.
