Château Cheval Blanc

Château Cheval Blanc, in Saint-Émilion, farms 42 hectares in 56 plots on clay, gravel and sand, planted to 55% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The vineyard's layout dates from the mid-14th century. The Ducasse family owned it from 1832, followed by the Fourcaud-Laussac family; Bernard Arnault and Baron Albert Frère acquired it in autumn 1998. A new winery by architect Christian de Portzamparc was completed in June 2021, and Petit Cheval is made from the vineyard of Château La Tour du Pin, bought in 2006.
