Château du Tertre

Château du Tertre

Château du Tertre, in Arsac, is a Fifth Growth of Margaux in the 1855 classification.

It descends from a 12th-century seigneury; Pierre Mitchell acquired part of it in 1724 and built the château from 1736. After the 1956 frost the vineyard was replanted from 1960. Eric and Marie-Louise Albada Jelgersma bought it in 1997. Its 52 hectares sit in a single block on gravelly knolls, with Les Hauts du Tertre as the second label.
