Château Ducru-Beaucaillou

Château Ducru-Beaucaillou

Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is a Second Growth of Saint-Julien. Its soils are poor Gunzian gravel of quartz pebbles deposited by the ancient Garonne.

Francis Borie took over the estate in 1942, followed by Jean-Eugène Borie in 1959 and today Bruno-Eugène Borie; the estate celebrated its 300th anniversary on 29 September 2020. The grand vin ages 18 months in 100% new French oak. Madame de Beaucaillou, from Haut-Médoc plots, is a tribute to Madame Eugène-Borie.
