Château Ferran

Château Ferran

Château Ferran is a Pessac-Léognan estate on the Martillac plateau.

According to the estate, its vineyard was planted in the 18th century by the philosopher Montesquieu, and the estate is named after Robert de Ferran, a solicitor at the Bordeaux Parliament; it once produced red and white wines known as 'Premiers Graves Martillac'.

The property has belonged to an old Bordeaux family since 1880, and Philippe and Ghislaine Lacoste have managed it since 1999, restructuring the vineyard and renovating the cellars. It has 19 hectares of red and 3.5 hectares of white.
