Château Figeac

Château Figeac is a Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé, owned by the Manoncourt family since 1892.
Its 54 hectares lie in a single block, with about 41 hectares under vine, on three outcrops of quartz and flint Günz gravel over blue clay. Unusually for the right bank, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc dominate and Merlot makes up only about a third of the plantings. The oldest vines in production are Merlots planted in 1921.
The estate is HVE level 3 and keeps about 12 hectares as natural habitat. Petit-Figeac is its second wine.
