Château Haut-Batailley

Château Haut-Batailley

Château Haut-Batailley is an 1855 Grand Cru Classé at the southern entrance to Pauillac, marked by the Aspic tower.

Its history was linked to that of neighbouring Batailley until the estate was divided in 1942. In 2017 it passed to the Cazes family of Châteaux Lynch-Bages and Ormes de Pez.

The vineyard covers 40 hectares of deep Garonne gravel, of which 22 were in production at the takeover, and a large planting programme began in 2018. Verso is the second wine.
