Château La Mission Haut-Brion

Château La Mission Haut-Brion, in Pessac-Léognan, traces its origins to 1540, when Arnaud de Lestonnac bought the Arregedhuys estate; the Lazarist priests of the Mission owned it from 1682.
The estate was confiscated and sold at auction in 1792, Frédéric Otto Woltner bought it in 1919, and Domaine Clarence Dillon acquired it in 1983. White wine began here in 1927. It is classified Cru Classé de Graves.
