Château Léoville-Las Cases
Château Léoville-Las Cases is a Second Growth of Saint-Julien.
After the Revolution the original Léoville estate was divided between 1826 and 1840, and Léoville Las Cases was formed from three-fifths of it. The same family has managed it since the late 19th century; Jean-Hubert Delon is the sole owner and also owns Potensac and Nénin. Its 55-hectare walled 'Clos' sits on Quaternary gravel, planted 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Franc with an average vine age of 52 years.
