Château Margaux
Château Margaux, a First Growth of the 1855 classification, is a 265-hectare estate, about a third of it planted to vines, whose boundaries have stood since the end of the 17th century.
The Mentzelopoulos family acquired it in 1977; Corinne Mentzelopoulos has led it since 1980 and became sole shareholder in 2003, and her son Alexis took over management in 2023. The estate adopted château bottling in 1925, and the château has been a listed Historic Monument since 1946.
