Château Soutard

Château Soutard is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé of 30 hectares in a single block, 800 metres from the town of Saint-Émilion. About 70% of the vineyard sits on the clay-limestone plateau, 17% on clay hillside and 13% on the sandy foot of the slope.
The blend is 63% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Malbec. Grapes are picked by hand and moved by gravity, and the wine ages in French oak: 50% new barrels, 30% one-wine barrels and 20% wooden tanks.
