One of Burgundy's most celebrated domaines, Meo-Camuzet traces its origins to Etienne Camuzet, a politician who helped create the Appellation d'Origine system in 1919 and purchased the Chateau du Clos de Vougeot in 1920. Under Jean-Nicolas Meo — mentored by the legendary Henri Jayer — the estate bottles six Grand Crus including Richebourg and Clos de Vougeot across 14 hectares, producing wines known for both finesse and intensity. Parcels are plowed by horse, organic fertilizers are used, and all vineyard work is done strictly by hand.
