Château Giscours

Château Giscours, in Labarde, is a Third Growth of Margaux in the 1855 classification.
Pierre de Lhomme owned it in the 16th century; the Albada Jelgersma family has owned it since 1995, and Eric Albada Jelgersma's children Dennis, Derk and Valérie took over in 2018. Ninety-five hectares are in production on deep Garonne gravel. A mermaid first appeared on a Giscours label in 1900, and La Sirène de Giscours is the second wine.
